Many experts recommend laundering cashmere garments by hand in a basin filled with lukewarm water and a squirt of gentle shampoo, then laying the sweater flat to dry. Never hang cashmere because this can ruin the shape of the sweater. A folding square like those used in department stores can help you fold your sweaters like a pro.
